Sunday Morning Worship Environments (Fall 2010)In September 2010 the children’s ministry will be making an important shift that will create a stronger partnership between the church and families. The children's ministry team is passionate about building relationships with kids that help them develop a growing relationship with Jesus (nothing has changed about that!). Beginning this fall families will be provided with materials to extend what a child learns at church to the home. These simple learning experiences for families will help parents thrive in their roles as the most influential people in the spiritual development of their children. Preschool:God Loves Me – God Made Me – Jesus Wants to Be My Friend ForeverThe Preschool Ministry Team's goal is to help preschoolers be amazed with the wonder of their Heavenly Father and how much He loves them. The Team helps preschoolers know that God is big enough to handle whatever they will face and learn to trust a loving, powerful Father. Elementary:I need to make the wise choice. – I can trust God no matter what. – I should treat others the way I want to be treated.Elementary kids are provoked to pursue a lifestyle of discovery, where their identity is determined by a personal relationship with Christ and the work the Spirit does in them so they can reflect God's character and impact the world around them.
Through 52 Bible stories and a monthly core virtue and memory verse, your elementary student will be immersed in the three truths above each year. One virtue is presented for an entire month with weekly bottom lines that illustrate different Biblical illustrations. Each lesson includes an engaging presentation of basic truths as well as an illustration of how God built His character in people. Worship is always included so kids experience and learn how to celebrate who God is and what He's done for them. Small Group activities include a variety of games and experiences meant to promote discussion and life application of the lesson, development of faith skills, and most importantly build relationships among the leader and friends in the group. Join the Team:The Children's Ministry Team wants to come alongside you and your youngster to implement these principles in daily life. What if YOU could be a part of the children’s ministry team to see these things happen? What if YOU (whoever you may be) helped a preschooler or elementary student understand and apply these truths? Read more about those opportunities here.
